Ptolemaeus Region on the Moon

Ptolemaeus, Alphonsus, and Arzachel Area in the middle part of the moon.

Crater at top right on terminator is 88 km x 88 km Tycho. Just below and to the right is the walled plain Maginus. As can be seen, there are many, many other craters in this image -- almost too numerous to name.

Images taken with TEC-140 using 5x Televue Powermate Telescope mounted on Losmandy G11 mount. Camera used was a Canon EOS20D used at prime focus with Powermate and Diagonal.
